Clipboard Historian

If you use a computer for any significant length of time, chances are you make ample use of the clipboard. The clipboard lets you temporarily store bits of data, like text, images and files that were found in one place so that they can be easily used somewhere else. Sometimes, you might have a lot of pieces of data that you want to move from one place to another with the clipboard. Well, a problem that I've found with this is that you have to be careful not to copy over something important on the clipboard with something else before you’ve used the first thing!

This program, Clipboard Historian, is very small and lightweight, fast, and it sits in the Windows taskbar with a small icon. From there, when the program is running and active, all the text that you copy to your Windows clipboard will be stored by Clipboard History. You can access every bit of text you’ve copied while the program was running by clicking on the icon and finding it in a helpful menu or in a text file that you can have the program export.

Nothing will leave your computer unless you take it off yourself. No data is transferred over the Internet. Nobody is storing your data for you. It’s all on your computer, and you can delete it by simply closing the program, because clipboard records are stored in RAM. On the other hand, if you want to save everything that you’ve copied, you can export all the text into a text file.

Well, what are you waiting for? Start keeping track of all that important data you copy today!
